“6 stars. Mike did a pre purchase inspection of a car for us, and was INCREDIBLY thorough. Being a race car mechanic, he knows what he’s doing. He went point by point with us under and inside the car. Definitely will be back if we need to buy another car in the area.”

“A++ What can I say? I took my basic 2017 Audi A3 to get a diagnosis for a coolant leak which Mike was able to quickly diagnose as a water pump failure. Not only did he fix my problem, he was able to provide maintenance (Transmission, Haldex AWD system) that was long overdue. While inspecting my car, he found that my brakes were very close to being worn out and replaced the rotors and brake pads. I figured I might as well upgrade my performance and he was able to provide an APR Stage 1 tune to my car without any issue. I practically had my car returned to me in better condition than when I bought it. His attention to detail is something I’ve never experienced before at a mechanic shop. An example of that is using an external power supply during my ECU tune so that the voltage fluctuations wouldn’t fry the car’s computer! As an amateur car person, I asked a lot of questions about the value of certain parts/services and he was able to answer everything without trying to sell me anything. Probably owed to the fact that he has a long history of working with race vehicles. What I thought would take a week or two to fix, he managed to complete a diagnosis, repair, maintenance and tune in 3 days. The cherry on top is that the price for labor was highly competitive (bye Audi dealership) and the transparency was a breath of fresh air. If you’re driving German, Nordküste is a no brainer.”

“Excellent 5-star service by Mike and the Nordkuste Performance team on my 2007 BMW Z4 convertible roadster. Needed a starter replaced along with a service plan for a couple of other maintenance items. I towed the car to my long time and original dealership but received an outrageous repair quote. The car would not start so I believe the quote/service was marked-up as a result knowing I was in a tough spot. I then reached out to several reputable BMW and European service garages and dealerships in my area for additional estimates. Nordkuste Performance was highly competitive in comparison on pricing and value for the needed service(s) and significantly less than the original dealership quote. I had the car towed to Nordkuske Performance from the dealership for them to do the work. Mike was outstanding...took the time to talk with me, answer questions, and be honest about what work needed done and what work we did not need to do or could put on a maintenance timeline (more urgent to less urgent). "Nordkuste is a terrific shop, and my recent experience having my '88 Vanagon serviced there was flawless. I really appreciated the shop tour that Mike Pottle, the owner, gave me and how he walked me through the work he was doing on my Vanagon along the way. I was really surprised at how reasonably priced the service was! Mike's labor rate is very reasonable - A lot of places would have just gouged me for how long the work *could* have reasonably taken them and not how long they *actually* spent on the work. That Mike charged me only for the time the work took really left me with a great deal of trust in his integrity and business model, and the quality of the work he did in his clear skill as a master mechanic.  I especially appreciated Mike's following up with me after my road trip. Nordkuste is my go-to shop in Ohio!"
