Pronounced nord-koos-tuh and German for "Northcoast", Nordküste Performance is located on the north shores of Ohio. Founded by Mike Pottle and his passion for European cars, especially Porsche, BMW, and Volkswagen, Nordküste Performance breaks away from the conventional independent automotive shop with a personal experience and the ultimate in professional, high-quality work at an affordable rate. Mike Pottle
Owner and Technician
Background: Mike's passion for cars started at a young age. After graduating from an automotive trade school, Mike immediately started working for a professional Porsche racing team in the Grand Am series. He continued to work on professional race teams until 2010, when he got married and wanted to slow down his traveling. He continued to work as a technician for a high-end European performance shop for six years when he and his wife decided to move to Cleveland, and Mike took the opportunity to see his dream come to life and open a shop of his own.
Career Highlights:
- Grand Am SGS Team, Driver, and Manufacturer Champions
- Two Daytona 24-hour 2nd place finishes
- Lead mechanic on World's Fastest Volvo (car won its first race by largest margin in the history of the series)
- Part of 14 professional victories during career in professional racing
- Restored factory Porsche 964 cup car, 993 cup car, and the Racers Group #66 996 GT3R race car.
- Has upgraded and serviced many high-end cars for repeat customers: Lamborghini Superleggera, Ferrari f430 Scuderia, Porsche GT3 RS, Corvette ZR1, Porsche 964 RSR, and BMW Z8 to name a few.
When he's not working on others' cars or keeping his own fleet on the road, Mike enjoys golfing, surfing Lake Erie, sailing, and spending time with his wife, little boy, and shop dog, Remi.
